College Courses without the Exams!
A variety of topics are explores in these college level mini-seminars taught by faculty of local area universities. The Myerberg partners with Towson University, Peabody Institute and Baltimore Hebrew University to bring stimulating, high level courses to the Center.
St. John's College Executive Seminar Great Books
The Great Books Seminar addresses fundamental questions of the human condition through a close reading and discussion of timeless great works of literature, philosophy and political discourse.
There are no more than 20 participants that meet once a month for 90 minutes sessions to discuss a classic text. Seminars take place on the first Tuesday of each month from September 2011-June 2012. The theme for the 2011-2012 semiar is Happiness. The cost of the Myerberg seminar is $630.00, which covers all expenses, including copies of the reading and refreshments.
The Center offers over 20 different classes weekly including: aerobics, beginning and intermediate bridge, beginning and intermediate computers, current issues and poetry. In addition, special lectures on various topics are presented on a regular basis.

Fine Arts
The Myerberg Center's art curriculum is without question one of the best in Baltimore. Classes are offered for beginning and advanced students in the following disciplines: acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, drawing and pastels, figure sculpture and handbuilt clay. Instructors are all artists with regional and national reputations.
Art Shows
Twice a year, in the fall and the spring, the Center presents major exhibitions of student work. The exhibits run for several months and are kicked off with an artists' reception to which the public and friends and family are invited.
Performing Arts
The Encore Chorale is the Myerberg's choral group for those aged 55+. Professionally led by Jeanne Kelly, the Chorale provides an excellent and accessible artistic environment for older adults regardless of experience or ability. The Chorale practices once per week and performs throughout Baltimore and surrounding areas- highlighted with an appearance at The Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage. You must be a Myerberg Center member to participate in the Chorale.

The Center offers eight aerobics classes per week in addition to two yoga classes and a chair based exercise program that run year round.
