Here’s how you can help seniors in our community
stay healthy and engaged.
Library Assistant: Greet Center members who look forward to using the library. Help find and check out books. A great job if you like to read and interact with seniors. For people who often work at home, a change of scene; Wi-Fi connection available. Two hour commitment.
Office Receptionist: Volunteers are stationed at Membership desk. Greet members, register them for courses, answer questions and direct them to appropriate areas, activities and classes at the Center.
Two hours, once a week.
G Café Assistant Manager: Do you have experience or interest in food service and enjoy talking to people? Distribute pre-packaged breakfast and lunch food in pleasant surroundings at the Myerberg; collect payment from customers. Two to 2 I/2 hours, weekdays.
Senior Sunday Assistant: Take part in this important activity for seniors who find Sunday a lonely day. Serve a bagel breakfast, sit at tables with participants, stroll through the room to oversee event. Enjoy the entertainment. One Sunday morning each month, 9 to 12:30.
Eating Together: Serve a nourishing Kosher lunch to forty community members. Sit with lunch participants and socialize. One hour, weekdays.
Trips Coordinator: Work closely with the Myerberg Activities Coordinator to research and arrange day trips for Myerberg members and friends. Flexible schedule.
Mailings Assistant: Help with large and important mailings at the Myerberg Center. As needed.
